Description Tays states that recent American presidents have been ignorant of the historic Russian interest in Korea. He explains that since the 1880's the Russians have built up a sphere of influence in Korea, down almost to the 38th parallel. Tays explores this history, and more recent events in Korea. He discusses Korean politics, including leftists, rightists, and communists. Tays talks about the mistreatment of non-communists at the hands of Russians in North Korea and how in South Korea Russian -trained North Korean communist agents have been wreaking havoc in an attempt to trap the mind and rob the spirits of men. He talks about how South Korea became engulfed in turmoil and how efforts were made to bring dissension between Koreans and Americans. Tays explains that there is no democracy in Korea because they have never had the training or traditions for it. He states his belief that neither half of Korea can exist for long independent of the other economically. He expresses his belief that the alternatives to a civil war in Korea is an active military response by United States against North Korea and Communism.
