While she believes television and the internet have a place in life, she believes these should not detract from time spent reading. Detailing her children's books career, she started writing as a gift and attempt at bonding with her step-daughter. Moving onto the book imprint she started, she advertises several books she hopes will be "synonymous" with "words, wisdom, and wonder." The majority of the time is spent in a question-and-answer session with Valerie Lewis, co-author of Valerie and Walter's Best Books for Children. Regarding her literary career, she states ideas for her books come from a variety of places; she tries to embrace certain themes, with everything else following once those are set. Being an actress, she says thinks of larger-than-life, film-like scenarios when writing her books. Saying the illustrator is very important to a children's book, she chooses the illustrators for her books in order to properly match the two. She is currently working on an autobiography. They also discuss Andrew's film career, focusing on The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Andrews also discusses three charities she is involved in: UNIFEM, Operation USA, and the Foundation for Hereditary Disease.
