He agrees with President Bush that no child should be left behind, defending the similarly named act. Among statistics he cites is more students are taking the SAT and enrolling in advanced placement courses. He thanks the audience for passing Proposition 47, saying it has lead to building schools and school modernization. The critics, he argues, are finding the exceptions and not the rule for examples. He states there is no quick-fix to improve education. He concludes by asking the audience to carefully consider the recall of Governor Davis, arguing he should remain governor as he has not committed any crimes.
