Speaker Callison, Ferd Walter
Date CreatedJuly 19, 1957
Description

A transportation crisis is approaching San Francisco and the Bay Area. Callison discusses the shortcomings of the existing transit and parking system and suggests an overall parking and transit program for San Francisco. Among his solutions are mass public transportation, adequate one-way street patterns, and removal of curb parking in business areas during business hours. He also makes parking and transit predictions for 1982, including the presence of a salt water barrier across the upper part of San Francisco Bay.
