Watercolor on paper. Signed by the artist in the bottom right corner, "N Bellantoni USNCB" Painted aboard the MS Day Star. Written on verso: "June 28, 1943 KP somewhere on the Pacific!" KP is explained by Nat Bellantoni to be the abbreviation for Kitchen Patrol work shifts that were assigned to him and his fellow seabees aboard the MS Day Star.
