Description

In this delightfully offbeat show (the title refers to collections of journalistic writing), three veterans trade stories about publishers, other authors, and the promotion circuit. SZ: "I do know authors who would be quite embarrassed to have their works collected. Sometimes I think the way to get even with some of these political savants is to publish their collection of columns over the years. I don't know that they could survive it." ... JL: "I deplore the takeover of the book-publishing business by people who want to make money.... There's obviously nothing wrong with trying to make money. I just don't know why you'd want to go into the book business to make money, because you're dealing with unrepeatable products most of the time."
