Description

As Dr. Tamarkin puts it, "This whole issue of AIDS is so sensitive politically ...

it's a lightning rod for a lot of strong opinions because it has to do with seeking pleasure,

with sex, with drugs, with a contagious illness for which there is no cure." Mr. Fumento

is a serious student of the spread of the disease, and while his findings are far from

uncontroversial (he was working on a book to be called The Myth of Heterosexual AIDS),

he has the facts and figures in hand for this perhaps surprisingly low-key discussion of a

highly emotional topic.
