Description

A stirring session with a guest who has spent most of his adult life studying the

Soviet Union. RP: "... this utterly false alternative, which is presented to us from

Moscow and picked up by the West, is that you have a choice of either engaging in the sort of relationship with the Soviet Union where basically you concede what they want or you stand up to them and you are facing a holocaust.... This is entirely a false alternative.... We can be free and we can be at peace, if we arm ourselves ... Western civilization is a very precious thing, and to surrender it in the hope that somehow you'll be able to manage seems to me absurd."
