Plan (FAP), discussed on Firing Line #170 and the subject of his latest book, The Politics of a Guaranteed Income: The Nixon Administration and the Family Assistance Plan. A rich discussion of private charity and government efforts to help the poor, the politics of trust, and much else. I've had the experience of being in government and out, and trying to make that distinction is not always easy, but it's certainly a distinguishable condition. And this is written as a professor of government about processes of government, processes in which I was involved.
