Item Title Americans and the Law
Speaker Church, Frank
Date CreatedSeptember 29, 1975
Description

Church laments the social cannibalism and disrespect for law that he thinks has recently emerged in the United States. Citing instances of government organizations and large corporations engaging in illegal operations and the impeachment of President Nixon, Church blames the erosion of respect for the law on diminished respect for the keepers of the law. If the agencies charged with law enforcement do not respect the law, he argues, how can others be expected to?
