Description

The 35mm motion picture film contains several attempts at an interview with Paderewski, the Polish pianist, by Mieczysław Marchlewski, Poland's Consul General in New York, likely taking place in the Polish Consulate General at 233 Madison Avenue. The interview promotes Paderewski's appearance at the benefit for unemployed musicians in 1932. The concert was held on February 8, 1932 in Madison Square Garden in New York, so the date of the interview is probably late January or very early February 1932.
