Item Title Asia after Vietnam
Speaker Mehnert, Klaus (1906-1984)
Date CreatedAugust 01, 1975
Description

Mehnert describes how he believes the United States must deal with the different sections of Asia. The U.S. should establish a better connection with India so that India is not so partial to the Soviet Union. In Southeast Asia, he recommends that the U.S. back off for awhile and let those leaders find their way. In East Asia, Mehnert advises against alienating China; he supports the strong bond that exists with Japan.
