Description

Barry Gray interviews William Scheinman and Frank Montero on WMCA radio about the crisis in Angola. Scheinman and Montero had just returned from London where they advised Tom Mboya in their capacities as directors of the American Committee on Africa. They say the insurrection in Angola could become another Algerian crisis. Gray continually asks the men basic, but tough, questions to better understand a foreign crisis with which, it sounds like, he is quite unfamiliar.

A scratch/gouge on side 1 of the first source disc caused a skip during transfer. This was unavoidable during digitization.

Unfortunately, due to a crack in the second source disc, only the first half of this program is available for listening.
