This collection consists of a good portion of the secret correspondence sent and received by the Polish legation in the Netherlands during the interwar period, relating to Polish-Dutch relations, as well as of memoranda in preparation for an international peace conference in the early 1930s. It serves not only as a good source for the study of the international tensions that led to the outbreak of World War II but also provides good coverage of the first two months of the conflict.
Of particular interest are the telegrams exchanged with Warsaw at the time of the Russo-Polish War of 1920, reflecting Poland's attempts to acquire arms in Western Europe and diplomatic moves to prevent an international blockade on deliveries by workers sympathizing with the Bolsheviks.
A digital copy of this entire collection is available on the Polish National Digital Archives website at Poselstwo Polskie w Holandii.
