Description

Joseph Cronin moderates a panel concerned with the equity and excellence of education, and the employability of students who graduate from schools in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Panel members discuss ways of raising the quality of education, and modernizing Massachusetts schools.

Tape 1

Speakers include Gerard D'Amico, James Collins, Jack Lawson, Robert Spillane, and Michael S. Dukakis. The last speaker, Ken Lozano (?), is cut-off and continues on Tape 2, Side A.

Tape 2

Ken Lozano finishes his speech, followed by a question and answer session. The last ten minutes of Side A and all of Side B relate to a planning meeting that is separate from the public education panel.
