Description
In a staged setting without an audience, Reagan talks at a podium about security and defense issues, which he believes are beyond politics. The Soviets are ahead of the US in the arms race, and the Ford and Kissinger leadership must be held accountable. The "delusions of detente" are contradictory with a genuine peace, and the Ford/Kissinger peace is a "peace of the grave."
Created by the Citizens for Reagan campaign committee for the Republican Party presidential nomination in 1976.
