Description

Allen Drury interviews General Charles Gabriel on how the Pentagon works in the course of doing research for his next novel. Drury considers framing the central narrative around a proposed missile system or a "specific mission of some sort." In his response, Gabriel describes his primary duties on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the logisitics of general military operations, and his thoughts on the Soviets. Sound quality on this recording is fairly poor.
