Speaker Walker, Daniel (1922-)
Date CreatedNovember 16, 1973
Description

Even as a Democrat, the governor believes that government is too big and is spending irrationally. He proposes smarter spending by setting strategic objectives in areas that need attention, like mental health and crime prevention for youth. If we can run the government more like a business, with expenditure accountability, less rhetoric, and ethics legislation, we can restore the American public's confidence in government.
