Item Title Private Institutions in the Public Services: An Old Tradition
Speaker Bundy, McGeorge
Date CreatedNovember 02, 1973
Description

Bundy discusses the need to avoid exclusive dependency by private universities on any one external funding provider. Public money should come without influence from individual bias. He disagrees with David Packard‘s recent attacks on the idea of unrestricted giving, specifically with Packard saying corporations "give only when the support which is given is of a kind that is specifically helpful to corporations." Bundy refutes several other points Packard makes regarding funding for private universities.
