Speaker
Butz, Earl L. (Earl Lauer)
(1909-2008)
Date CreatedOctober 26, 1973
Description
Butz reviews the progress in American production and consumption of agriculture over the past thirty years. The success of the agricultural industry in the United States is due to the free nature of our markets. Agricultural free markets will be aided by the passage of the Agricultural Act of 1973 by removing many governmental controls of pricing and output previously instituted to curtail production. It is hoped that these measures will aid a struggling industry and reduce agricultural shortages seen over the previous decades.
