Item Title A Calm Look at Violence
Speaker Stubblebine, J. M.
Date CreatedAugust 31, 1973
Description

With violent crime steadily increasing in California, Stubblebine advocates reevaluating current methods to deter, detain, and correct violent offenders. He says better research studies should be undertaken to determine why crimes are committed and to find new ways to control and monitor known triggers, such as drug and alcohol abuse and mental health factors. Public support will be critical in changing the pattern of violence.
