Description

The two Super Powers currently lead the world via their military, political, and ideological rivalry, but the so called "Great Powers," or Third World countries, can no longer be ignored and must have a voice in "matters concerning their future." India believes its position as a nonaligned (vs. neutral) country allows it to "form its own judgment on any concrete problem...and not be influenced because of any alliance with other powers." However, India wants to cooperate with America in trade, economic, cultural, and political areas for the benefit "of our two peoples and for promoting peace and prosperity throughout the world."
