Chapter XI Educación de la niña. Ceremonias de casamiento. Leyes de los antepasados. Also she takes a stronger focus on the role of women and the coming of age of women in this process. She speaks of how laws of ancestors, Catholic Church and the Guatemalan government are incorporated within marriages and how they are negotiated within the community. There are bits and pieces of this conversation in some parts of this chapter but it does not consist of the whole chapter. Chapter VIII Vida en el altiplano. Cumple 10 años: ceremonia de los 10 años. At the end of this chapter she talks more about the responsibility she took as she matured. Chapter IX Ceremonias de la siembra y de la cosecha. Relación con la tierra. Cumple 12 años. Here she expands from the beginning to the middle of the chapter on the planting of the seeds and the harvest ceremonies.
