Description

"News from Ukraine" segment includes reports from Svitlana Ryaboshapka in Kiev and Hanna Stetsiv in Ivano-Frankivsk. Ryaboshapka reports about a student hunger strike which started at the Maidan in Kyiv. In the "Ukrainian Perspective" segment, RFE/RL journalist, Roman Solchanyk, interviews Mykola Yakovyna, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional council. Solchanyk's line of questioning is informed by by his having attended the second meeting of the "Rukh" ("Movement") and Yakovyna is the head of a local "Rukh" office.
