Speaker Moorer, Thomas H. (1912-)
Date CreatedFebruary 09, 1973
Description

In light of ongoing United States involvement in the Vietnam War, Admiral Moorer believes that the U.S. should not view a decrease in defense spending as a method to achieve peace. Americans are a national community in need of worldwide resources to continue growing and prospering, so the U.S. cannot afford, either politically or economical, to be isolationist without military protection.
