Description

Interview with Robert Bernstein of Random House following the Soviets denial of visa to Bernstein. Bernstein details fees the Soviets accepted from Random House before denying Bernstein. He goes on to describe what Random House hoped to gain by visiting the USSR. Bernstein does not believe the other American publishers should pull out of the book fair because that would mean the Soviet readers could not read American books, however, he hopes the publishers will not be nice to the Soviet hosts.
