Item Title The Illusion of Freedom
Speaker Graham, Billy (1918-)
Date CreatedSeptember 08, 1972
Description

Graham commends President Nixon for his goal of a generation of peace. However, violence continues in the world, and freedom has always required defense with words and swords. American society is characterized by freedom and law, and they are in delicate balance. Graham talks about secular freedom, and asserts that freedom only exists where there is moral restraint. He sees a growing moral darkness and calls for lighting a candle that will banish moral and spiritual blight.
