Description

This segment is an interview with Bulgarian dissident poet, Radoy Ralin, "whose picky satires inspired generations of Bulgarians with a glimpse of hope during the country's totalitarian times" according to the Radio Free Europe journalist.

Topics include: recent accomplishments by the opposition; Ralin's skepticism about the "Round Table" talks between Communists and the opposition and progress toward establishing a new Constitution. Ralin expresses hope that the Union of Democratoc Forces (SDS) might achieve more active participation among rank and file members from the several organizations that are part of the SDC: the Club for Glasnost and Democracy, Ecoglasnost (Екогласност), also known as Independent Society of Ecoglasnost; and the Green Party of Bulgaria.
