Speaker Blatchford, Joseph H. (1934-)
Date CreatedJune 30, 1972
Description

Blatchford calls on Americans for voluntary service to revive our cities. Each city government should create its own volunteer corps. These urban volunteers would not compete with private volunteer efforts, nor the work of public employees. The work of this unarmed service will be the heroes of the generation of peace for which President Nixon has laid the foundation.
