Speaker Kaufmann, Michelle
Date CreatedMarch 24, 2005
Description

Kaufmann speaks about her experiences building houses and how it lead her

into the field of prefabricated houses. She sees great potential in the

technology available in America for prefabricated houses, but says this

technology is largely untapped. She emphasizes that the manufacturing

quality is much higher than people commonly think about when they consider

prefabricated houses. She details the process of building a prefabricated

house and how it compares to a similar-but-site-built house. Although only

an audio recording, the speaker makes references to slides she used during

the talk.

Part 2 of a Club series on prefabricated houses. See

Jan 19, 2005 for part 1.
