Speaker Pauling, Linus (1901-1994)
Date CreatedMay 14, 1971
Description

Pauling believes the use of Vitamin C (specifically ascorbic acid) in the correct amount can help protect against the common cold. He believes this is proved by blind placebo tests performed on several different occasions. The average human should ingest about fifty times more ascorbic acid per day, as recommended by the Food Nutrition Board of the National Research Council.
