Date CreatedMay 07, 1971
Description

Americans do not understand Vietnamese society and culture and have not made an effort to appreciate its values and traditions. There are really three Vietnams, North, Central, and South. Each region has its own distinct traditions and village self-governments that have continued for 2500 years. The split of Vietnam into two regions by the demilitarized zone (DMZ) has separated the Vietnamese people from their cultural legacy.
