Item Title Behind Administration Lines
Speaker Hersh, Seymour M.
Date CreatedOctober 05, 2004
Description

A talk promoting his book "Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib." Hersch takes a critical look at the Bush administration's foreign policy during its first term, and imagines what a second term would look like. He believes Bush honestly went into Iraq and spread American-style democracy. Hersh believes Bush would expand the war if re-elected despite the insurgency. He is also critical of Congress, saying the average IQ of Congresspeople has dropped twenty points over the last forty years.
