2003c87_a_0002583_r01.MP3
Item Title The Election of 2004
Speaker Morris, Dick
Date CreatedAugust 10, 2004
Description

Morris speaks about the pending 2004 election. Framing it by saying America is not polarized on individual issues--citing overwhelming approval of Bush on fighting terrorism and Kerry on the environment--he believes the election will be if America wants a war-time president, Bush, or peace-time president, Kerry. Saying that Bush is better at fighting terrorism than Clinton was, he segues into the war on terrorism, saying the war in Iraq is part of that. In the process, he touches on corruption at the United Nations.
