Description

In light of the abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, Club CEO Gloria Duffy moderates a town hall forum to discuss these events. Four experts on related topics give their analysis of the events as they see them before taking questions from the audience. Joan Kelley-Williams speaks about the role of the Red Cross and the origins of the Geneva Conventions. J. Michael Myatt speaks about military culture and the role of leadership therein. Craig Haney relates the abuse at Abu Ghraib to the Stanford Prison Experiment. Maziar Behrooz believes this is a symptom of the war against terror and the occupation of Iraq, not as an abnormality, as well as explaining the image of America in the Middle East.
