Description

Kubokawa discusses his experience as an aquanaut living and working underwater at the Project Tektite 2 in preparation for space travel and preparing astronauts for the harsh and cramped living conditions of extended space travel. He talks about daily living conditions, including his concern over the amount of trash the habitat generated, as well as the trash and pollution from the general population that he saw accumulating on the sea floor from passing boats.
