Description

Lithograph depicts larger-than-life working woman pointing to group of buildings which enumerate benefits which women have gained since the advent of Soviet power.

Title translates to "What the October Revolution gave the woman worker and the peasant woman." Here a woman stands atop a rock inscribed “Land to the peasants, factories to the workers” as she beckons the viewer toward a cluster of buildings representing various social institutions: a library, a club for working women, a home for mothers and children, a kindergarten, a school for adults, a cafeteria, and the Soviet of Workers’ and Peasants’ Deputies.
