Description
The poster commemorates the more than two hundred people who died in the Shakee (Shaji) Massacre. It depicts skeleton ghosts rising up from the ashes. One holds a banner declaring “Down with Imperialism,” while the writing on the logs explains they are, “Those who sacrificed themselves at Shaji,” and the left side states, “Printed by the Preparation Committee of the State Funeral for Shaji Martyrs”.
