Speaker Kennedy, Moorhead
Date CreatedJuly 28, 1981
Description

Kennedy expresses his opinions on relations between the United States and Iran, as well as U.S. expectations of Iran. By encouraging the Shah to further develop Iranian military forces, Kennedy asserts, the U.S. is not helping to build peace. Kennedy calls for more attention from other interest groups in the U.S., such as the Commonwealth Club. He also talks about the Cathedral Peace Institute and his role as a speaker on religion in international affairs.

A demonstrator is heard interrupting the speech a few minutes into the talk.
