Wood-engraving depicting friends of Paul Deroulede laying on his grave, on January 31, 1915, one of the first Poles to be taken away from the reconquered Alsacian border. Maurice Barres is quoted as having said: "Oh! fate, you should have left us Deroulede one more year!"
