Item Title The California Campaign
Speaker Bush, George (1924-)
Date CreatedSeptember 11, 1980
Description

In this campaign speech, vice-presidential candidate Bush outlines the policies that the Reagan presidency would develop to achieve peace and improve United States military power against the Soviets. Bush criticizes the Carter administration's foreign policy for failing to maintain America's position in the world; the Carter-Mondale re-election team has also misrepresented presidential candidate Reagan's commitment to peace and freedom.

The audio quality on the source tape is poor. Bush's voice has an artificial "watery" quality to it.
