Item Title The Greening of American Enterprise
Speaker Levitt, Arthur (1931-)
Date CreatedDecember 14, 1979
Description

Levitt asserts that the United States economy has not exhausted its capacity for growth and is still largely undeveloped. Public policies hastily designed to deal with short-term economic circumstances have harmed the economy in the long term. Levitt believes that a deep change is occurring and that a pro-enterprise revolution is gathering momentum. He talks about stagnation, small business as a source of growth, taxes and regulations, and the rediscovery of business as a worldwide phenomenon. Levitt is hopeful that real deregulation of the economy is underway.
