Speaker
Nader, Ralph
Date CreatedOctober 21, 1969
Description
Nader speaks of the consumer abuses and hazards. He believes that corporate radicalism, the practice of lacerating, rejecting, undermining and doing other kinds of violence to the basic principles of this country, is the true source of crime in the United States. He states the free market system is dependent upon the consumer being aware of a choice. Large corporations, Nader believes, are narrowing the American free market, thus offering consumers fewer choices. As a result, he believes the consumer is left ignorant of any alternative product choice. He further advocates environmental protection legislation, calling it a form of violence.
