Young emphasizes the right to protest within the context of civil rights and diversity. Some people ignore the institutions toward which the protests are directed, instead dwelling on the protesters tactics. This callousness toward the abuses practiced by some institutions has brought us to this point. The black man has no say in the operation of these institutions. Young addresses issues of poverty, black power, and the failure of the government to remedy the ills facing society.
